My third "reroot"

Several issues. I was not able to get mohair until recently and it was not enough time to send to the rerooter to be done in time and the date of the October meet was moved up a week, so I definitely had no time. So, there I was with a doll with no hair. The alpaca scalp I bought as a substitute was a bust, it made my former Dainty Biscuit look like an ADG, no thank you. So I decided to finally use the weft I had bought some years ago, back when I had hair to my elbows. It's a human hair weft with a wave that I bought because it looked like my own hair, if I had been Korean.

It's a little coarse and my forearms were scratched up from handling it. Also, my finger are sore and a little bloody because I don't usually use a thimble. It took about three days, maybe 8 hours total, with each row abutting and it's completely combable. Makes my painting the scalp a useless endeavor but oh well. It's the right amount of crazy and after I put it on, I realized it reminded me of the chickie that tried to marry Gilligan.

I still want mohair though, this is just temporary.

Some nice lady on Ravelry also sold me her sole Blythe because she was "getting out" of the hobby. She asked for offers and I super-lowballed her expecting her to say no and go to the next person who would have offered at least twice. Nope. She sent her to me with all her clothes and toys and such and now I feel really guilty. I had bought her as bait but I guess that's not going to happen, shit.
