Dangit!

All week I've been looking forward to the midnight movie at the Nuart tonight. Lately, the movies they have selected have been mostly hipster nostalgia movies like "The Lost Boys" or "Short Circuit" (really? Steve Guttenberg?) so I was very happy to see they would finally be playing something good: "All About Eve." I figured I would have to queue up early to make sure my seat was nowhere near any film students or obnoxious drag queens but I was prepared for that and had planned accordingly.

Well, pffft. I just found out/realized that they are not showing the Bette Davis classic, "All About Eve" but "All About Evil," the shitty horror movie with Natasha Lyonne. Such an emotional ripoff, I feel so let down.

In other news, I walked to work today, 1.5 miles from door to door. I reckoned it would take me ninety minutes because of my dawdling but I managed it in under an hour, barely. Nothing along the route had a bad stink and I saw a couple of places I'd like to return to and break into and explore look at from the sidewalk.

Huh. I guess I have to walk back home too. There's some planning for you.
