Mail day, mail day! Well, not all of it is new, but I needed to round things out.
I accidentally won/bought one of them frog things. It's a limited edition color or something, available only by lottery which I'd entered because it cost nothing and which I didn't win. Oh well, too bad for me, says I to lottery conducter lady person, shucky darn. Damned if that woman didn't dig one up from under a pile somewhere and offer it to me. Sort of painted myself into a corner with that one. I really don't know what to do with it. I thought if I held it or dressed it, its mystical secrets would be revealed unto me and I would understand why people like them so much. Yeah, I got nothing. I don't get it.
The doggy is a new doll from Obitsu. I couldn't decide which one of the six to buy and I thought this one was the most neutral, just to see if I liked it and now I wish I'd bought the black one with cropped ears so I could have a Doberman. He's pretty neat and his mouth opens and closes and he comes apart at every joint. I want to get him a leather studded collar and trail bags. See, if I'd bought the Doberman instead, I could have one of Those Amazing Dobermans but nooooo.
The bald lady is one of the new 25cm Obitsu bodies with one of the new 1/6 Gretel heads. I'd bought the body because it was a two-piece torso, instead of the standard 3-piece, to put on a Blythe which almost worked. The head kept flopping over, no matter how tightly the neckpiece was secured so I took it apart to see what the deal was. It has a soft torso piece that overlays the midsection which actually looks pretty nice.
Boxing Obitsu.
The bust part just slides off and can be placed on backwards, which serves no purpose but it made me laugh. Then I found the problem. The neck has additional articulation which I would have to glue in place to secure and even then I wouldn't trust it.
So the Gretel gets the body and I have a wig around here somewhere for that size so she'll wear that and then ya, that's it. She can wear whatever eyes I'm not using in something else and whatever clothes I have laying about since she's a standard-for-around-here size.
