This is such a bad idea
I know I shouldn't, but I keep thinking about getting a bird which is a really terrible idea because I shouldn't have any more animals than the two shiftless squatters I have now. But I have really, really wanted a parrotlet since I first saw one in round about 1990 or so and now I've found out there are blue mutations and, oh, look how pretty:
Could you just die? I could die. Their behavior and temperament is said to be exactly like a regular size parrot, like an Amazon, except these guys are only 4 inches long. They don't know they're not full-size parrots! Hysterical!
Unlike the spiteful lovebirds who are aggressive, messy and loud as hell, Pacific Parrotlets are smaller, quieter and learn to talk. No, no, mustn't get one, mustn't, stop it. Look how cute!
Just the blues and pastel blue ones, though, I don't like the greens, they look shifty and remind me of my aunt's parrot that bit through my finger.
