Insuccesso!

Yesterday, on the very long and wet drive home, I distracted myself by planning an oversized loose knit sweater.



It did not turn out as I'd envisioned. It is not loose knit enough, although that may be a problem with the yarn and I think it is too oversized. It reminds me of the sweater I wore to my Spanish final (ha ha ha ha ha, ha ... nope, still traumatic).

Also in the category of "not what I envisioned" is this bodice that I've been fighting with.



It is supposed to be empire-waisted and flare beneath the bust. Instead there is no flare and it's to the waist. It's really frustrating, I've done this over at least six times now and it keeps coming out not flared enough. Ultimately, it'll become the top part of a long dress of cotton lawn or batiste but noooooo, it refuses to cooperate. It's also the last of the Coraline sweater yarn and it's starting to get really irked at frequently being unraveled and redone so I think I'm done with this for now. Stupid bodice.
