Super Globetrotter

A dream long held, realized. Holla!

Yarn: Paton's Astra in red and white, Caron Simply Soft Bouclé in black, Karabella Aurora 4 in black.
Needles: US 3, US4, US6, sizes G, H and J hooks.
Pattern: None and heaven help those who try. The actual afro portion is a mix of astrakhan, modified astrakhan, picot, single, double and half double. The lining and headband are knit.
Notes: It weighs nearly as much as the doll itself and used up almost the entire skein. I had to do it in one sitting because the yarn hid all the working stitches so there would be no way to pick up the design again if I set it down. It actually gets its shaping from the stuff placed inside it.

Vodianova? There with the pimp car? Yeah, she fell forward, broke her glasses, her hat went flying off and her car took off backwards downhill while I was in a side lunge frantically flapping my hands since I didn't know what to grab at first.

Reporteth you: Yeah, she fell forward, broke her glasses, her hat went flying off and her car took off backwards downhill....

Every Doll photo shoot turns into a dolly-go-boom. Sometimes you fall in a fountain, things are broken... the car taking off in another direction must've been classic to watch. You need a "making of" video being shot while you do these things.

With commentary? "Here you can see where my trousers fell down and I tripped over the hem. Oh and that's right about the time when ... wait for it .. yes, there ... that is security questioning me and me pretending to answer through the doll ... bad move on my part, I still have the bruises ...."
