L.A. Conservancy Tour of Union Station
Unfortunately, our tour guide was Mumbly McMushmouth Anderson so anything I learned, I learned from eavesdropping on other tour groups or reading historical markers.

Detail of original Batchelder tiles

Waiting area with original seating from 1938, public area.

Exterior of the original ticketing counter. The area is closed to the public except for tours.

Behind the original ticketing counter.

Original safe in the back area of the ticketing area, not open to the general public or tours.

Metro tracks. Although this was an L.A. Conservancy tour, Mumbly spent 80% of the tour focusing on the Metro and the public art installations that were maybe four years old.

Metro station escalator.

Atrium dome inside Metro station.

Aquarium inside Metro station with glass etchings. I think this one was supposed to be Sacajawea. Stairs leading up and outside seen in reflection.

View from the outside terrace of MTA headquarters.
