Almost but not quite

My plan for the "Anna-Sui-but-not-quite-really-not-at-all" dress had been to make a puff-sleeved dress with a short and very flared skirt with trinity stitch trim.

That didn't quite happen. I don't think the sleeves are poofy enough, the skirt certainly isn't and I ended up using shells because it's what I know. It did, however, use up the last of the pink Karabella. Some day this week, I think I'll take a picture of all the stuff I made from that one ball.

Initially, the skirt hung down and looked like a regular dress so I used the bottom half of a sugar bowl shaped like a lemon (although I say elsewhere I used a teacup because it's about that same size and easier to explain) to shape it. In my head, it flared almost straight out like a tutu. This does not look like a tutu, no sir, not at all. It is pink with black trim at least.

Yarn: Karabella Aurora 4 in light pink, Karabella Lace Merino in black.
Needles & Hook: US1 needles and size 7 steel hook.
Pattern: Lati Dress by Miss Misanthrope with a lot of modifications.
