Day 4

Alright, alright, so maybe there was a little tinkering, but it was shot on black & white so there.
Jenni has provided me with some reading material, some filthy gossip rags from the 20's where I am sure to read steamy tales of Mabel Normand and Desmond Taylor, oooooooh!
1928 wasn't a lot different than 2008, really. Same economic issues, transportation problems, land speculation, pollution, a city consumed by the film industry and graft. 1928 had the Red Cars though, which are long gone and replaced with highly unreliable and expensive buses and a tiny bit of train. Our crimes now are more common but less horrific. No one kidnaps children for profit anymore and if someone is murdered now, it was likely a gunshot or stab wound, not an axe or a garrote made of picture wire and a gold pen.
Well, we still have the Angelus Temple and it's still filled with evangelicals so I suppose it evens out.
