Who knows? Not me, we never lost control

I am not entirely sure I like brims. Maybe if I used different patterning (what? it's a word) on the main portion, maybe something plainer.

Yarn: Paton's Classic Wool (wheat); Caron SS (purple)
Hook: I'm going to go with a G, hang on, wrong. I (wheat); G (purple)
Pattern: None.
Notes: Wheat has a knit band, purple has a crochet band. Wheat has hdc decreases, purple has shell decreases. Brims are worked in situ rather than sewn on. Otherwise, they are identical. Sorta.
