I think I had this same outfit when I was 8.
My part of the Ravelry Swap.
The parameters were "one knitted or crocheted item for Blythe." I started out doing a top hat then rejected that when I was 70% done. It was supposed to be embellished with a velvet hatband and some grand feathers. Then I decided to do an amigurumi Boston Terrier since my swap partner loves them and has two of her own. I got about 20% done before I remembered I don't like doing amigurumi and it wasn't very Blythe-y (although it was in scale, once finished it would have been about 3 inches high). Then I decided to make a dress but that didn't seem "knitted" enough and I was late, so I did a sweater as well. So there you go. The swap doll was described to me as "a bit of a nerd and her favorite color is green" which I interpreted as "dorky in the color green." Ahem.
Long bulky sweater over dress (classic dorky combo) plus some clunky tan loafers.

Dress
Pattern: Basic plus an altered skirt portion of the Puchi Collective Blythe Party Dress
Needles: 4, throughout, I think.
Yarn: Filatura di Crosa Zara extrafine merino
Sweater
Pattern: made by Jinjur-ish
Needles: 4s, I think.
Yarn: Filatura di Crosa Zara extrafine merino
