Scaring the nation with their guns and ammunition
Christmas Swap received. Yay. Now on to the rest of a growing list of crap I need to do.
Jenni's package consisted of 2 parts.
The first part was strawberry-themed, with a strawberry print dress from sewgrandmacathy on Etsy. Boughten, obviously, I only made the hat. With hugely oversized strawberry blossoms on the side which look like fried eggs. I know she likes the strawberries, even the slightly tart ones.

Pattern: None
Needles: 8(US) for hat and green leaves, F hook for white petal and yellow pistil.
Yarn: Wool-Ease (black); Simply Soft (green); Astra (white); Lion Brand Cotton (yellow)
The second part was cupcake themed, based on the dress from sewgrandmacathy and it seemed more than fitting given Jenni's status as a master cupcake baker.

Pattern: The chocolate part was based on Chez Michelle's pattern. I had to work a lot more rows than the pattern called for because there is little to no stretch in the band. The frosting part is knit by picking up stitches around the band, the cherry is crochet and the sprinkles are glass seed beads.
Yarn: Simply Soft (brown); Red Heart Soft (pink); Karabella Laceweight (red).
Needles: 8(US); G hook for brown, 10 hook for red.
Joey's package was also in two parts.
His first part was color-themed. I knew he wanted the lilac helmet and sewgrandmacathy happened to have a dress to match so there you are. Puppies and spacemen.

Pattern: Base 4
Needles: F hook
Yarn: Brilliant
His second part was the only one I did entirely (without the skills of sewgrandmacathy): hat, dress and underpants. It was gnome-themed. He likes gnomes.

Not thrilled I had to post these publicly to flickr in order to add them to my Ravelry projects since Picasa won't host so I tried to do it in the middle of the night so it would be buried in the morning by the Euros and other weekday detritus.
On to the Ravelry Swap. Send out is May 31.
