Old FO's revisited, part 3
From the Craftster Tote Bag Swap, I forget which round. My partner was a crocheter who loved the color pink which made me glad since I had an idea of what she'd like and I could use up fabric that was too loud for me.
It consisted of three items: a tote bag, a smaller bag and a hook holder.
The tote bag.

Based on the first edition of "50cm of Cloth" book. This might have been the bag I made the pattern master from. According to my notes, it measured 16" x 11" x 4" and had handles with a drop of 10". Full length front pocket, inside zipper pocket and key fob. Like so:

I should have used strong interfacing in the handles because of the wear. I've done it since.
Smaller wrist bag in same print. I don't have a record of the measurements but it was long enough to hold a skein of junk acrylic. Grommet on same side of zipper end. The wrist strap could be hooked as a shoulder purse or wrist strap. It could be hung by the wrist strap so the yarn fed out the bottom, like a yarn I.V.

Crochet hook holder/roll-up.

I should have sewn the rows before I attached the snap or at least marked them a little better. I haven't made one since this although I've wanted to since it looked neat.
Roll partially opened with flap down.

Fully opened with flap up. Accessory pocket, needle holder and tape measure pocket. Also, some stitch markers which I haven't made since but I should.

I'd really liked this set and it was almost hard to part with except for the print.
From the Robot Swap, I forget which round.
At the time, I was really into swaps and sewing handbags. I've gone off it since, although not too long ago I saw a bag I'd cut out and pinned. Purple rayon velvet with a Pucci print interior. I think it was supposed to be a fold over flap hobo, possible for the Designer Homage swap. It would have been really cool. Anyway, my Robot Swap package consisted of a handbag, a cellphone holder and some buttons.
Handbag, wool twill with robot print flannel interior, inside pocket and key fob. The design on front was embroidered by me and depicts a robot trying to defend himself from two sugar gliders (the receipient raised sugar gliders).

Cellphone holder. Pink on pink on pink with blue bead eyes. The limbs tragically matched the yarn almost exactly so they didn't stand out too well.

Buttons, made from Shrinky-Dink.

I think that's all my swaps or at least the ones I've taken photos of. So sad. These all took me ages to make and they look like they were slapped together at the last minute by a retarded monkey with one working arm. I can see why people who know me want to upgrade.
