Now, now. There's no reason to get all excited.

I am fairly new to the inner santcum of yarnworking. I still receive hostile vibes from the workers at the local yarn stores. (The last one was probably my fault for assuming someone at a yarn store had heard of "crochet" and could direct me to a yarn substitute for what was called for in the pattern. How foolish of me.)

I am unfamiliar with their acronyms and the intricacies of colorwork. Does it help that I am also a combination knitter? No. No, it does not.

Thus, I have decided to just not learn the nomenclature. OK, that's just my excuse for being unable to learn it and just my fist-shaking rant at the cool kids who find colorwork and lace so easy.

So, I do not have a "yarn stash." Nay, nay my friends. I have a yarn arsenal. I do not have an "LYS," I have yarn pushers.

Welcome to the seedy underbelly of the yarn world.

P.S. Look who's coming to Los Angeles in December! At The Knitter's Studio on December 6 and at Unwind on December 7! Yaaaaay!!! Hope? Are you there, hope? Will you save me a place near the light at the end of the tunnel?
