Here's hoping
Well. Yesterday, I met up with old school Blythe people. In addition to Paula and Linda, who is practically an archivist, I met tinyredrobot who has been around since before there was a TiB and I had a lot of fun listening to them all reminisce about a long, long time ago and all the people who were in the hobby and are now out of it and old scandals and oh, the history of it all. Kim has lived all over the world for school and she also likes to travel so she's met Blythe collectors all over the world. She is one of the few people I know who has never been to Japan. She really is tiny too, maybe 4'10"? Possibly less.
Linda and Paula are going to the Meet with a capital M and I sort of talked Kim's friend Leilani into going as well since she has has one lone doll and she lives in Silverlake. I won't hold that against her though. I also gave those two the side-eye about making something for the swap so they said they would. I, meanwhile, finally decided on what to do, now I need to get to it since I'll have less than 10 days. Hopefully, it won't suck as much as I anticipate.
