Still playing catch up

From my vacation sewing, this was the second out of three I made while I was there, all from Christina's pattern on We Play With Dolls. Was it supposed to be some huge secret or something? Because that's where it is with instructions and everything.

Jamie and Joey were busy finishing their costumes for the Halloween contest and I felt at loose ends in a sort of "I want to be sewing tooooooooo!" melodramatic moment. So they gave me some of their leftover felt and set me to auto-amuse and I made an undersized bunny with a button eye hanging off so I could pretend his rough stitching was franken-deliberate. They were really easy to make, as it turns out, so we all made them for the meet, as prizes and hostess gifts. I made two and this was the first one:

It was a hostess gift for Lynne for going through the trouble of having people in her house. Hot pink and white and the back of his ears are hot pink because I sewed them on backwards. Yep.

The second one I made was from a champagne silk douppionni remnant we'd bought at a local fabric store. I had thought it was cute in a slightly destroyed 19th century sort of way until Jamie mentioned in passing that it looked like the Placenta Bear (no link because you can never ever unsee it) and then I wanted nothing to do with it whatsoever. It was intended as an extra gift or prize but it wasn't needed so Jamie said she liked it (lies!) and kept it. I liked that option better because that meant they could each have a bunny now, yay. I only remembered to take a picture of this white and hot pink one though.
