Why? Is your Neck Cold?

Nothing close-fitting around the neck looks good on me. This is because my neck is about two inches long. BUT, that will not stop me from making completely impractical things, like, ummm, I dunno, ummmm, a neckwarmer? It's not a scarf and it's not a cape. It's a notscape!

And this is a pornographic close-up of the dc shell stitch. In addition to being very Georgia O'Keefe, it shows how lovely the yarns look combined.

Pattern: From a Japanese craft book whose name and title escape me but I have it around here somewhere, possibly on a shelf.
Mods: Rather than the full notscape called for in the pattern, I only did the first four or five rows.
Yarn: LB Homespun in, uh, lilac? And Wal-Mart No Boundaries ribbon yarn dealie, also in, uh, lilac. Yeah.
Hook: N, possibly P. But I'm 90% certain it was an "N" I need to start taking notes.
