I swap myself to myself
Really now, I was disappointed by the workmanship of the swap package I received. The sweater is okay, I guess, even though it looks like there's something going on with the sleeves but it's not really my style and my swap partner clearly had no idea what I would like. The eyepatch and the fabric it's made of don't exactly look like they go together and the skirt is held together with a safety pin! Amateur! These swaps should really be limited to certain skill levels to prevent crap like this from being sent out. Heavy sigh.
I never did receive anything from my Ravelry swap partner or the moderator who agreed to take her place, so I decided some self-help was in order. Pioneer spirit and all that, although that does not apply to my peoples but okay. It does explain why I have a pink doll in a pink ensemble, though, ね? I made the doll to match the outfit. It seems I'm all kinds of ass-backwards lately. I knew while finishing the sweater that I couldn't give it away because the sleeves are two different lengths. You can't tell now because I jerryrigged them even but I could not in good conscience give someone crap as a present. It's just poor form. (Right now, someone is looking at the stuff I've made them and thinking to themselves, "This is after it's passed quality control?!")
Sweater, skirt (Licca pattern), eyepatch (no pattern but lined, thanks), tulle underskirt (no pattern).
Showing the back of the sweater and the eyepatch which is on an elastic strap. Notice the gap in the scalpline? I don't care what anyone says, RBL does not fit on SBL dolls, the dome is too high. Circumferentially, it's a match but not height-wise. It took, no lie, fourteen strong elastics to keep the scalp down for the glue to adhere and even after she'd dried for a few days, once I took the bands off, the back of her scalp popped up. You can tell the difference when the MWSes are side by side. RBL MWS has a squishy soft spot on the top of her head. MWS/DaiBi's scalp feels like the toebox in a shoe that's too small.

How many times have I told you, no swaps, swops, swupperoonies.... You just won't listen. Yet you can't find time to make my new green cat cell phone cover I even bought the sew on google eyes for and you lost them, yes it IS all about me, waaah waaah.... Learn this lesson well. WELL, I say--no more of these swaps with strangers!! Or with anyone! Say NO to swaps, swamps, cotton swabs, swabbing the deck... even the POOP deck! I am not signed in for some reason. I blame my swap partner. Grr Grr.
Looky here, spazmodicus, I never nowhere said I was in another swap. Can't you read none? Says right there in the title-berry. And I have NOT lost your google eyes, I know exactly where they are, I just don't feel like it. So there.
